Allison Cara Tolman is an American actress from America. The actress is most famous for her role as Molly Solverson in the first season of Fargo, the first season of FX television series Fargo,earning Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. The early years of her life and schooling Tolman had two older brother as well as a sibling. Early in her life, the family of Tolman moved to England. They stayed there until she reached age four. She lived in Oklahoma for five years and later in West Texas before moving to Sugar Land. At the Fort Bend Community Theatre, she began acting lessons at age 10. Clements High School graduated her in the year 2000. Baylor University granted her a Bachelor in Fine Arts with an emphasis on theatre performance. In Dallas when she graduated from the college level, she was one of the original founders of Second Thought Theatre. After 2009, Tolman moved into Chicago, Illinois, to learn about performance at The Second City Training Center. Tolman made her debut on Fargo which is a black comedy crime drama that airs on FX. Inspired by The 1996 Coen brothers' film of the same title, Fargo starred veteran actors Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman and Bob Odenkirk. Tolman was praised for her portrayal of Minnesota Police Officer Molly Solverson, with Vanity Fair writing the following "calmly and assuredly completely stole the film". Critics' Choice Television Award Best Supporting Actress in a Film/Miniseries. Nominations in Best Actress categories at Emmy Awards, Golden Globes and Critics TV Awards. Tolman also had a guest spot on The Mindy Show playing Abby Berman a romance writer. In 2015, Tolman had as a character supporting Michael Dougherty's comedy film Krampus. Tolman was a star who made an iconic role in Fargo and Fargo, opted out of supporting roles as wives, mothers and best friends to pursue the role she thought was distinctive. Tolman was a part of ABC on Downward Dog (based on Animal Media Group's web-series). The series was canceled after just one season. Tolman, who is a Twitter user, said that she earned "pretty impressive" numbers for the ABC show Emergence. The show premiered in September of 2019, however, it was cancelled after one season ending on May 21, 2020. She was also a guest star on NBC's Good Girls. She was Alma Filcott, in the second episode in the series Why Women Kill. Natalie Green was her role on The Facts of Life segment of Live In front of the Studio Audience's third season.
